Introduction

My name is Matthew Naylor. I am currently in my fourth year of teaching third grade. I am married with two beautiful little girls, Annabelle and Emmalynn. It’s crazy to say two girls because we just welcomed our youngest daughter into the world 19 days ago. Needless to say, our house has been very busy. I graduated from the University of Nebraska Omaha in December of 2005. I also have a Bachelor’s in Criminal Justice. Some of my favorite pass times are spending time with my family, writing, drawing and reading.

I would like to say that I am very experienced with technology. I prefer to use a PC, however I usually end up using my MAC because it’s a laptop and I can work anywhere there is a wireless connection. I am currently operating on Microsoft Office 2008 on my MAC and Microsoft 2007 on my PC. It’s amazing how much my students already know about technology as well. I had a great time already this year working on Powerpoint with my students as well as teaching some basics in Word. We are going to be doing more with Powerpoint for Science and Social Studies soon.

I decided to get my Master’s because I want to be a better teacher for my students. I wanted to be more educated on differentiation and technology. Being a teacher in the 21st Century world, I know there is always more for me to learn, especially in the technology. I am looking forward to learning more about technology in this class.
